ABOUT
BETH

It's good to meet you!

As your therapist, I will provide a safe, nonjudgmental, and empathic setting for you to share about your current situation; explore early life experiences; gain a helpful understanding of your emotional world; and why you think and act in particular, problematic patterns. Many, if not all, of our emotional burdens (anxiety, people-pleasing, lying, codependency, lack of coping skills, mistrust of authority, hypersensitivity, defensiveness, dissociation, an underdeveloped sense of self, parenting struggles, relationship issues) are the result of earlier wounds that infuse within us lasting well into adulthood.

Supporting those wounded parts within you will not make you weak. Nor will it mean you are blaming your childhood for your current pain. And if you do blame your pain on early experiences that is OK, too. Your feelings are valid. Your willingness to try, while putting your trust in me, is truly indicative of the incredible healing you are already capable of.

No one can heal in the absence of emotional safety, so my first priority is helping you establish safety with me. This means engaging as fully as possible with your preferences, and needs, and trusting you to be the expert on you. If what I have presented here sounds like it might be a good fit, please email me to schedule a free 30-minute consultation.
